Dream Often!

While awaiting my turn in the super market checkout line, I engaged in conversation with a young lady who was purchasing a pregnancy test- it was such a dream filled conversation! She shared that she “was super nervous, excited and scared all in the same notion”. I chuckled and she said “why do you chuckle?, I am literally scared right now” I went on to say that my chuckle is a reminder that as a woman you must always dare to dream, remind yourself that you are already in progress and equipped for the journey that rests ahead; further, that women have an aura of resilience, determination and a pride that supercedes fear. She leaned in and said “thank you, I am not any of that anymore, I am determined, loved and able to give love”. So taken back, the gentleman had to signal twice for me to proceed to the register. As I walked to my car tears swelled and fell because I know all to well how the young lady felt and used what I would have told my younger self in that moment to reassure her!
