Our Story

Welcome to MomE 2 MomE LLC, so nice to e-meet you!

MomE 2 MomE LLC was created sitting in the nursery pumping breastmilk while looking so intently at my sweet baby girl as she lay asleep for her nap. As a fan of Brenè Brown, I value the usage of vulnerability to promote individualized growth. My journey to Motherhood has been nothing shy of a miracle and felt this a great opportunity to create a safe and inclusive space for the sharing of parenting matters, grief, loss, triumph and that just because. A forum to put my HBCU education and career experiences to profit based ventures. In addition, to afford myself the opportunity to supplant my traumatic experiences through freelance blogging and other rendered services to not only promote but assist in the sustaining of the mental, physical and overall well-being of Moms, Moms 2 Be, and Moms in Waiting around the world!

Coming from a large and tight-knit family, I value sisterhood; the art of loving unconditionally and accepting someone where they are, yet consistently inspiring them to their highest potential and God’s will for their lives. Seeing the glass half-full, COVID-19, has been a force to reckon with, it has ruined families, our economy, hell our way of life as we knew it! yet in the midst it has made me BE STILL! In fact, for the first time in my life, I was able to hear my thoughts (sometimes responding) and bond so intimately with my then daughter in utero. In the hospital, I read something that has become so REAL for me, “Parenthood is the only job which involves no formal training, very little background knowledge (for most of us) and the outcome involves the people we value the most, our kiddos”.

Resonating such emotions of wanting to be the best model of self. Now more than ever, I understand the importance of needing a tribe to thrive. My message to that Mom, Mom 2 Be, and Mom in Waiting despite missing out on the traditional pregnancy photo shoot and baby shower, “Be Still” and enjoy every moment! Besides our only task once the baby is here is to breastfeed, pump, rock the baby to sleep, cook, clean, work, run errands, shop..oh yeah take the dog for a walk, pick up the prescription, bake two cakes, laundry, iron…well you get the point. An elder has told me, yes, the aforementioned are tasks, but your goal with your bundle of joy is simple “raise an emotionally intelligent human being that will grow up to be a productive and contributing member of society”. Simple enough, right?

Well sounds to me, the perfect lead in for the pitch to have you join me as we discuss the real, concrete, parenthood is hard work but worth it issues to render to one another advice (evidenced by self, research, what has been shared or like me, what I have learned), thought provoking discussions and an inclusive venue to navigate “Motherhood”. There is no one size fits all but YOU matter! -the real work begins when you “Just Be You”!
